Privacy policy

ByBus Rewards is operated by Storeteq Limited, a company registered in the United Kingdom. Storeteq Limited is the data controller for the information described here.

With your permission, the app uses your device location to show nearby live buses and stops, and while you are on a journey to check you are still travelling with the bus. Your location is sent only to look up nearby buses and is not stored against your account or sold.

You can refuse or withdraw location access at any time in your device settings; the app will then show a notice instead of nearby buses.

If you create an account we store your email address (or your Google sign-in details), and the routes you choose to save, including line, direction and preferred time. This lets you see them on any device.

Live bus positions and timetables come from the UK Government's Bus Open Data Service. Bus stop information comes from NaPTAN and OpenStreetMap. Maps are provided by Google Maps, which is subject to Google's privacy policy.

The app may show adverts and optional reward videos. In the mobile apps these are provided by Google AdMob, which may use device identifiers to show and measure ads. On iPhone you will be asked before any tracking takes place, and you can refuse. Watching a reward video is always optional.

We keep your account and saved routes until you delete your account. Deleting your account permanently removes them.

Under UK data protection law you can ask to see, correct or delete your data, or object to how it is used. You can delete your account yourself at any time from the account page. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
